We stayed here before, always nice cozy and well-maintained rooms with very comfortable bed.

The room was brand-new with very comfortable bed, sky TV, good service. Excellent very central location and efficient and excellent staff. Easy to reach from Christchurch airport, 15 minutes drive.

I keep coming back to my favorite place in Christchurch. The staff even helped me print something on my first stay. It has everything I need - Wi-Fi, off-site car park, luggage storage, and a great pool! Perfect for my next trip!

I recently stayed at the Diplomat Motel for two nights while attending a function in Merivale and a concert in town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the extra towels were a nice touch. The beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The outdoor area was lovely, and having a separate kitchen was convenient. The motel's location was great, with excellent early morning coffee shops nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at Diplomat Motel. The twin room I stayed in was spacious and well-equipped with a double bed and a single bed, as well as dining and lounge furniture. The separate kitchen and bathroom were clean and convenient. The room was meticulously maintained, and the optional room service ensured a high standard of housekeeping throughout my stay. Linda and Paul, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and made sure that the room was warm and that I was familiar with all the facilities. I particularly enjoyed spending time in the outdoor spa, which was very relaxing. The motel had a warm and family-friendly atmosphere, and I felt right at home. Though the motel doesn't have its own restaurant, they provided discount vouchers for a nearby hotel with a great selection of meals at reasonable prices. There was also a small shopping center within walking distance, which was a nice convenience. Public transport was easily accessible, with a bus stop right outside the motel. Additionally, Linda even went above and beyond by personally giving me a ride to one of my appointments. I had a memorable and comfortable stay at Diplomat Motel and would highly recommend it to others.

I had a great stay at this hotel. the location was perfect - it was so close to everything, including eateries and public transport into the city center. Secondly, the staff provided excellent service and were always friendly and accommodating. Thirdly, the rooms were spacious and had a very comfortable double and single bed, along with cooking facilities. Additionally, the basic amenities were all there, including breakfast. Though not recently renovated like the photos, the hotel still provided value for money.

The only thing that could be improved was the smell from repairs, as mentioned in one of the reviews.

Additionally, being close to a great shopping area was a definite bonus, making it convenient for me to grab any essentials I needed. Lastly, being right in the centre of the city meant I was surrounded by the vibrant atmosphere of Christchurch.
